All shots with my micro four third Panasonic GF1 and 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens, these photos are intended to show how lovely and vibrant Orchard Road is at night. I didn’t actually go there to shoot as I was there for a night out with my family on Friday night, but I couldn’t resist, so I shot some photos.
Orchard road has gone through a multi-million dollar face-lift since the past few years and it’s still upgrading. Even if you are not doing any shopping, just walking along it can be very lovely. And when you are there, forget Haagen-Dasz. Just buy from the ice-cream sellers along the Orchard Road while waiting for your spouse to max out the credit card limit. 🙂
For those who are interested, all photos were taken by moving the camera to create the effect of painting with lights. So, enjoy the lights. Do they really show the lovely and vibrant Orchard Road? You tell me.
panning with a tripod or that lens zoom thechnique on medium exposure? excellent idea – maybe i shld try for kl ;p
oh, new camera and just shake it eh? cool
Lovely shots and great colors! Never tried these shots before personally, I think I will give that a try and experiment on techniques.
