The Unexpected – a Film Photography Project

The Unexpected - a Film Photography Project by Hendra Lauw

I am starting a new photography project, a film photography project. I call it “The Unexpected”.

How?
I will shoot a roll of film, either color or black and white, and when all the 36  frames have been used, I will rewind the film and load it again into the camera and shoot something else using that same roll of film. So, each frame will be exposed twice and the frame for the second shot may not be fully aligned with the first shot. I obviously can’t control what I will get, but I hope I will get one or two nice double-exposure images per roll. Let’s see.

What you see in this post are the first batch of images from this project, shot on black and white Ilford Pan F Plus 50 film at the beginning of this month using the Olympus OM-1N camera and Olympus Zuiko 50mm f/1.4 lens. Enjoy and come back again to check more images from this project.

Creativity comes from looking for the unexpected and stepping outside your own experience. ~ Masaru Ibuk

Keep shooting and have fun!.
