After years of use, my Fujifilm Graphite Silver X-T1’s rubber grip started peeling, leaving it looking bad. Rather than dealing with the patchy appearance, I decided to remove the rest of the rubber entirely. Once all the pieces were gone, I carefully cleaned off the glue residue, revealing the camera’s smooth metal body underneath.
Now, without the rubber grip, the camera has a sleek, raw feel in hand. It may not be as cushioned, but there’s something satisfying about holding the bare metal—like it’s back to its essence.
I first posted this on Facebook page of Fujifilm ClubX on 2 October 2019. Why am I reposting?
